Celebrating, savouring - and a first impression!
Mar 19, 2015,12:28 PM
Following the presentation, tightly packed:
The
other side of the moon...
What did I say? Following, the
smart way ;-)
Making sure to
remember.... (or preparing for
own anniversary?)
Cognac tasting for the connoisseurs - courtesy of sister brand
Hennessy:
Two minds thinking the same:
Certainly, not a solitary indulgence!
It takes the strength of a
real woman - for both (in German we have a term "die Waffen einer Frau", used in the sense of charming or seducing men with typically female tricks. There is no direct English equivalent (perhaps 'female weaponry') but I guess in
our context we all
understand... ;-))
While we celebrated , Aldo Magada was busy (or patient enough?) to polish his
image...
Yes, exactly like this!
First & personal impressions:
Having being part of all these news and events, I am very confident for Zenith's future. In his few months at the helm of the brand, Aldo Magada has already made permanent - and very positive! - impressions. The reinvigoration of the Elite calibre, making it the movement with the longest power reserve in the entire line-up, is a strong and very welcome statement.
(The quality to conquer the world - I have to agree!)
Further, I quickly had the chance to take superficial glimpses at the 2015 collection- and I liked what I saw: superb 3D dials (which really take the essence of the moderately skeletonised Lightweight dials and carry them masterfully distilled over to the more classic but sporty models), practical improvements, new bracelet version and the like.
And this is only the tipping of the iceberg, as the really cool stuff is yet to be seen (I just heard something...)!
Putting the resources together and making them available to finish a collector's book (usually not a top priority for a new CEO) is reassuring; and many of us will immediately benefit from this opus.
So, I am really excited about what I saw, sampled and heard.
Thus at the end of this early report, I would like to raise my glass and cheer to the brand!
With these appetisers I leave for now. I have more appointments with Zenith and will bring you all the images (together with Oliver) from the fair - stay tuned!
Thank you so much for reading!
Cheers,
Magnus
P.S.: Thanks a lot to Miss R for helping arranging this!
