The gist if you don't want to register: Zenith is keenly aware of the disappointment amongst Purists, but they are looking to change their core audience in order to ramp up sales considerably.
I see Zenith's (LVMH's) point of view, and I'm not too disappointed. If the Elites are not selling watches and the brand isn't satisfied to remain an "in-the-know" brand, risks must be taken. While the Elite is a very good movement, the El Primero has all the brand equity. The Type XX Pilot line is a great start, really the first mainstream hit in a while that isn't all about the El Primero. They'll need more like that in the future to capture new buyers, but they can probably combine lessons from TAG and Hublot and get there.
The Rolling Stones limited edition is still a misfire though. It looks very rushed.
