Talking of chronometres, that is what I call a superlative watch! In steel, 12/6 dagger hands, I guess? I own a Geomatic but the Geophysic is truly a dream watch that I hope adding to my collection one day. As for meeting, I know this day will come. Hopef...

I am not sure I understand your message in full. One thing is sure, the crown is just as I describe it, with the Zenith star and Zenith's Z within. I cannot be seen on the posted pictures. Best Ztirual

It give an evocative insight on Fabre-Leuba in Bombay. Off course, Favre-Leuba were present and distributed their watches many, many other places than in India in the 50's and 60's and well before that. Best. Ztirual

very nice! A black dial has to be extremely rare, never mind an FL-Zenith co-branded one. As you have observed, the movement is a very late one, as is the Zenith 2000 case, yet the dial is from substantially earlier in the production run. Any information ...

the similarity to the geophysique is uncanny, also to the Omega 30T2rg. all excellent handwind chronometers. that would make an excellent theme, handwind only chronometers. i'll ponder that thought. thanks for the insight ztirual Graham

That movement is beautiful. The level of finishing is outstanding for a watch of its period. You don't see a lot of highly finished movements in the 1940-60s.

They appear every so often, and often from the same vintage dealers. You've got to be a bit lucky to stumble upon a good one though. When you do, few watches beat the cal. 135. Some of them in the later years, after 1962, have a slightly more economical f...
