Thanks for this Magnus,
This is the second LE Lightweight to be released, the first being limited to 100 pieces.
And for the Type 20 Grand Feu, well in my opinion they should have made it a pocket watch. The 2012 Type 20 Specials were pushing the limit at 57.5mm, but are wearable (I wear mine every week). The size was to accommodate the huge 50mm 5011K movement, and that is fine.
This new Type 20 Grand Feu is aesthetically stunning. One of the most beautiful watches ever. But the extra 3mm makes it unwearable. A pocket watch would have demonstrated their technical prowess, and artistry, and would have been more appropriate. I understand the crown would have to be moved, but these 5011's were originally pocket watch movements so it can't be an issue.
Secondly, I was under the impression that the 5011k movements would only be used for the 2012 Type 20's, limited to 75 pieces in Rose gold, and 250 in Titanium (with a diamond encrusted piece unique). And now they release more editions? I would like Zenith to clarify to collectors like myself whether these movements were found lying around, and have been refinished, or whether they are still in production. We were of the impression from the wording in their previous press releases that supply was limited to what they found in their inventory.
