Baselworld 2015: Zenith Elite 6150, first live pics!

A pleasant and (at least by me) unexpected introduction is the new Zenith Elite 6150, a very thin & elegant 42mm time-only watch.

"This new automatic Elite 6150 calibre is the contemporary version of the famous Elite base movement developed in the early 1990s – an ultra-thin calibre that earned the title “Best Movement of the Year” when presented at the Basel Fair in 1994." [Press Kit, slightly modified]

"In response to the demands of our times, the Zenith engineers and developers have chosen to enhance its performance, as well as its versatility by means of a minimum 100-hour power reserve, a broader 30 mm diameter, along with a central sweep-seconds hand." [Press Kit, slightly modified]

"They have also been careful to preserve the exceptionally slender nature of a movement measuring a mere 3.92 mm thick! Driven by the new Elite 6150 calibre, the Elite 6150 model is distinguished by its classicism and its understated elegance. Its slim 42 mm-diameter case frames a pure, cambered dial punctuated by sleek, graceful hands." [Press Kit, slightly modified]

Another one I cannot wait to see - eagerly, my wrist is crying!
Magnus

P.S.: Sorry for the use of press kit text, but I am short with time and I think it is well written. Thanks

Glad to see Zenith back on the right track of in-house movement. For this

kind of simplicity style, however, I would love to see a 38~40mm case.

Perfect size for a dress watch and thin too

Should be a popular model for those looking for a classic dress watch. Cheers, Anthony

wish it was a little bit smaller

Thanks for the live pics, it's a nice looking time only dress watch, but a little bit too big for me. Regards, ED-209

post edited to respect embargo
