That blue is just mesmerizing. Thanks for the pics.

Zenith: Agree, get both

While the Striking 10th has the more interesting movement. The Red/Blue Primeros are so attractive. And they lack the dismal subdial overlap that plagues the Striking 10th and almost all other Zeniths. I wouldn't be able to decide between the Red or Blue. I've seen the Red live and it's awesome. The

Zenith: Not an easy change though

I wouldn't call it a design error on Zenith's part. It's very logical- a matter of function. The EPs development follows from pocketwatches, hence the running seconds is opposite the crown and not at an angle as with later movements (JLC/AP/VC/BP). I forget the technical names for these arrangements

Zenith: Thanks for the clarification

I really couldn't see the logical flaw that Magnus was seeing. The Captain Chrono has the same subdial layout as every other EP. The complain then was that the hour counter doesn't have a ring around it? Like Marcus says, that was probably to give it a certain bi-compax look. If they had given it a

Zenith: Thanks

So the Doublematic doesn't have a running seconds, right? After reading your description, the Doublematic seems far less practical than I thought. The hour hand represents time at your site of departure. To tell time at some time zone you are travelling in, your would have to know what location it c

Zenith: Thanks for the detailed report and the fine pics.

In what way are the hands flawed? And what was wrong with the subdial design of the Captain Chrono? Is the large seconds hand on the Doublematic running seconds or for the chrono? So to be able to tell the time somewhere you have to turn the crowns every time? I like the Pilot Grande Date, buy the d

Zenith: Thanks for the info

Dufour indeed is hitting on an important issue, important to watch afficionados, who as you point out, think that Zenith makes two calibers, while JLC makes thousands and thousands of completely different calibers. Both claims aren't right. Just as Zenith works with base calibers so does JLC and the

Zenith: Great report

In videos the Aeronef sure appears to be impressive, not just in size, but even elegant/beautiful. I wish they'd made it a deskclock or given you the option of wearing it on the wrist or placing it on your desk. I also like the Pilot Big Date a lot. I would like it more if the case were polished. I

Zenith: I don't own one

but assuming that it's the same as in Classic Defys, which could well be the case since the bracelets have a similar design, it would be 8 + 1/2 link on each side.

Zenith: Great pics

At least with the Espada, they got the length of the hour hand relative to the hour indexes right. Not so with the other 36kvph, Open ChronoMaster, Sun&Moonphase were the hand is far too short, which is odd since with the Captain line they placed emphasis on that detail.
