Really looks good on your wrist!
Feb 16, 2011,01:00 AM
I had my doubts when I saw it in the store. But then again, I never tried it on. It really goes to show that you really need to try a watch on before dismissing it. I thought it was too big. But it looks just right on your wrist. Very beautiful watch! Congrats, Art.

. . . my first Zenith ;-) . . ....
Heeeeeeey Art!

Very happy for you, my friend! If I had to get my first Zenith, it would be a S 58 or this one. Enjoy! Best, Nicolas.
Grazi, Nico! . . .

. . . the New Vintage 1969 captured my imagination when it was introduced in '09, and my affection a year later when it arrived in Los Angeles. Now, it's mine ;-) . . .
Congrats, Art!

Looking good! May we see a wrist shot? Give her a good life! Best Blomman
Workin' on it, boss! . . .

. . . hopefully a few choice shots tomorrow, if all goes as planned . . .
Thank you, Damian . . .
By: Dr No : February 12th, 2011-12:31
. . . this is my first new watch in just over three years, and it was a long time comin' ;-) . . .
you made the right choice
By: LouS : February 12th, 2011-15:05
between this one and the Striking 10th IMO. I predict you will find this far more versatile than you anticipate, and anyway it is the more "Zenith-y" of the two!
It really was a tough call, Lou . . .
By: Dr No : February 13th, 2011-06:36
. . . and it came down to realizing I'd be looking for reasons to wear the Striking 10th. Better a watch you'd want to wear often than one for special occasions . . .
Nice one, Art!
By: Davo : February 12th, 2011-15:56
It's a beaut! Congrats. Looking forward to seeing and learning more about it.
Yes, its true....
By: LouS : February 13th, 2011-07:08
...one could have wished for the white hands of the A 386 here.
After going . . .

. . . "chrono-less" for years, Richard, it's a welcome addition to my collection . . .
Congratulations, Art ...

Very pleased you chose this piece. We looked at a few Zenith's together and this watch is really 'you'. Look forward to the wrist shots and your experiences with it. Andrew
It's so difficult to convey . . .

. . . in writing, Andrew, but yes, I felt an affinity for this design on sight. Enthralled, Art...
Art, wow, may I congratulate you
By: Valentin Blank : February 12th, 2011-22:05
for this excellent choice! It's a timeless beauty. I think it is a very worthy addition to your tasteful collection of watches. Enjoy your El Primero! Thanks, Valentin
No arguments here, Valentin, it is . . .

. . . an attractive watch, all the more so as it combines two classic Zenith elements - the dial of the A 386 and the Zenith signature cushion case - for the first time. An hommage to a watch that never was, but easily could have been . . . cordially, Art

Hi, That would be the one. This is a winner design IMO. I've had it on my wrist and it is all I like about Zenith: a strong and casual design, a great calibre, a readable chronograph. I don't understand why they have made nearly all the chronographs in th...
Merci, Jerome . . .

. . . your words speak volumes. There are a few recent Zeniths that beckoned, but this one captured my attention at first glance, and affection the moment I tried it on. Most cordially, Art
Thanks, Stefan . . .

. . . this will be the watch that gets the call for shooting pool, attending sports car races, and hanging out with friends . . .
Congratulations

. . . and fully agreed - the New Vintage is an instant classic!
A hearty congrats.

I can so totally understand your choice, even though I was leaning towards the Striking 10. I must say the dial design and layout is superb, I do not find it crowded at all, and cushion case...haven't had one for a long time. Look forward to your ownershi...
A real beauty, wear it in health!

Congratulations, that is a truly handsome watch! My favorite modern Zenith as well, seems to capture many of the characteristics that made the original designs so charming.
Coincidentally, I recently tried on . . .

. . . there are more pressing matters that take up your attention, like analyzing balance sheets of billion-dollar corporations and tending to ATM, and leave it at that ;-) . . .

It really does feel . . .
By: Dr No : February 16th, 2011-14:37
. . . "just right" on my wrist, Echi. It's due in large measure to the cushion case design that conveys a sense of subliminal heft while retaining sensible dimensions . . . cordially, Art
Congratulations, Art

This Zenith is a looker I saw the title changed. Are you relinquishing your previous duty at GO? Best Tyler

Congratulations on this one Art! I am sorry for being so late but I hope that you agree that sincere compliments cannot be untimely. I just enjoyed your very honest reply to Marcus on how you went back and forth between the striking 10th and this one. Lol...
