BREAKING NEWS: Aldo Magada, ex-Breitling, will be new CEO of Zenith!

May 03, 2014,00:05 AM

The news broke between yesterday and today. Current  International Sales & Business Development Director at Breitling, 55-year old Aldo Magada, will follow Jean-Frédéric Dufour as new CEO of Zenith.

Magada is an industry veteran who started his career at Piaget in 1989, then joined Jean-Caude Biver with Omega in in 1990, followed by posts at Ebel, Gucci, Technomarine, Reuge, Badollet and Breitling.

Like Ricardo Guadeloupe he is an old friend and acquaintance of Jean Claude Biver.

Aldo Magada will take over his new job on 1 July 2014.

I am glad that Mr Biver found a suitable candidate in such short time. I wish Mr Magada all the best and a successful continuation of the refocussing efforts began under Mr Dufour. For us I hope at Zenith that will present us lots of exciting fine timepieces in the future - all right in time for 2015!

More as I learn more.

Thanks,
Magnus

Thanks for the info. I'm not a breitling fan so I don't know Mr Magada. Nothing wrong with the brand, it's just not my style Let's see what he has in mind for Zenith , I'm sure we all hope he's not the new Nataf :-)
