Chopard Watches and Wonders 2023. A new Alpine Eagle 41 XPS.

 By: amanico : March 27th, 2023-09:26
41 mm steel case which they call " Lucent Steel " because it is ultra resistant and light reflecting, according to the press release. A spectacular rose dial which received a galvanic treatment, which, divine surprise, doesn't feature a date! Water resist...

This is great

Now, THIS is the Alpine Eagle that I am truly tempted to consider

I like "no date", and the new dial design with small seconds makes it look more elegrant/luxurious in my eyes. Very nice indeed,. The the salmon (rosa pink) dial looks terrific, at least in the pics.

I can’t wait to see it live. Looks good on pics.

Nico, is it up there with the best regarding finishing etc?

What I think.

Absolutely love this!

Looks beautiful! And equally importantly, will feel amazing on the wrist.

I have tried on the thin tourbillon, and this I believe is the same case and (non tourbillon) movement - without the hole in the dial, what's not to like!

I didn't see it, yet.

Good looking dial and a beautiful movement.

Not sure if the clasp mechanism is smoother on this new model.

I will try to see that.

 By: amanico : March 27th, 2023-16:39

Is this basically a LUC model now?

 By: TeutonicCarFan : March 27th, 2023-16:42
This seems (to a novice like me) to be the LUC micro rotor... does that make this basically a LUC alpine eagle? I am guessing this explains the increase from ~14k usd to ~22k?

This Chopard is one of this year's winners...

 By: patrick_y : March 27th, 2023-19:03
This one and the Chopard 1860 36mm LUC Movement, the IWC Ingeniur, and the Van Cleef & Arpels Automatons are the winners of this year's show.

The other one, I meant.

 By: amanico : March 27th, 2023-21:24

Oh! Those! The TIMEKEEPERs.

 By: patrick_y : March 27th, 2023-21:30
Hmm. The bezel looks kind of larger than the ideal proportion on those. But might have to see those in person to make a final verdict.

Really looks fantastic!

What I think, too.

 By: amanico : March 27th, 2023-21:10

That I have to see.
